Ethno Healing

Merle Tatonka

A central concern of my research is ecological sustainability in the face of global ecocide. I examine the ethical foundations of global values and advocate for a world rooted in care, justice, and interconnectedness. My vision is simple yet profound: one world for children—where future generations can grow in dignity, harmony with nature, and collective responsibility for our planet.

I am a social scientist with a Master’s degree in Social Sustainability and Demographic Change, dedicated to shaping pathways toward a just and sustainable future. My work focuses on designing and guiding transformative educational processes that empower individuals and communities alike.
I work according to the principles of person-centered counseling developed by Carl Rogers, creating spaces where responsibility, participation, and future-oriented thinking can grow. I see myself as a visionary for future scenarios and lived utopias, bridging theory and practice and turning ideas of sustainability into tangible experience.
As an ambassador for children, I advocate for their voices, rights, and potential in shaping tomorrow’s world. Complementing my academic and educational work, I am also a certified yoga teacher — including children’s yoga — and a Qigong instructor, integrating mindfulness, movement, and holistic well-being into my approach.
